Cycling coaches to get top class training
The course will be conducted from August 14 to 21 between 9 am and 5 pm.
It will be conducted by Simon Doughty of the UK. The course is open to all clubs, TTCF members, cyclists and other interested persons.
The sessions will be free and participants will be provided with meals on each day.
Interested cyclists must contact Rowena Williams to register as soon as possible at telephone number 789-5926. From the UCI certificate Coaching Course, the cycling Federation hopes to accumulate a pool of qualified coaches and enhance the development of the sport.
This means the federation will have access to competent coaches whenever needed.
Roxanne Chapman, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation (TTCF) said the aim of the TTCF is to ensure that local cyclists are exposed to qualified coaches to assist them in their efforts to improve their performances at competitions locally and internationally.
She urges all interested persons to take advantage of the opportunity. On the opening day representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC), The Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SCOTT), the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and the TTCF are expected to attend.
