ACCA launches new career path

‘ACCA Career Pathways’ — an online service, will now provide sector-specific professional and career development resources for ACCA members and students. The pilot scheme will be focused on the financial services sector, where over 30,000 ACCA students and members currently work worldwide. ACCA Career Pathways has resulted from ACCA developing a range of partnerships with professional bodies, high quality learning providers, employers and publishers which specialise in the sector to provide learning resources and exclusive discounts. ACCA will be working to provide online training focusing on compliance and industry competency for the financial services sector. The in-market organisations will be Wiley bookshop which offers a wide range of finance and business publications, Euromoney magazine and the Securities and Investment Institute (SII).

The initiative marks the first collaboration between ACCA and SII following the recent announcement of their global partnership agreement. Stephen Heathcote, ACCA’s Director — Learning and Development, said: “Having listened to our members we developed the new initiative and, because we want to ensure that the new initiative meets the exact career progression and development needs of our members and students, we will be consulting with them to get their views and suggestions on how it might be developed and improved in future.”
