Sweet music in Laventille

The seventh LSF came off without any major incidents as over 30 steel orchestras paraded along the street playing “songs of freedom,” the festival being incorporated into Laventille’s Emancipation celebra-tions.

It was about 1.30 am Monday when the parade of bands was stopped leaving several bands on the “track.” But before that there was sweet music from Exodus, Harmonites, All Stars, Pan Knights, Santa Cruz Pan Jammers, Harlem Syncopators and Laventille Seren-aders among others.
