Kidnap accused Gumbo gets bail

Vincent is jointly charged with Sheldon “Skelly” Lovell, Richard “Chinee” Kirton, Brian Charles and Rondell Roberts with kidnapping businessman Ronald John who is the brother of high court judge Stanley John.

John was allegedly abducted in Woodbrook on March 26, 2003. The men were committed to stand trial on January 26 by Senior Magistrate Ejenny Espinet.

The application for bail was made before Justice Devan Rampersad at the Port-of-Spain High Court by defence attorney Rangee Dolsingh SC. Vincent will be required to report to the Morvant police station every Wednesday and Saturday. Attorney Aden Stroude appeared for the State.
