Top teams clash in ‘Grande

The “Eastern Lions” Joe Public have a tally of 38 points, one more than North East Stars and, as the battle for the title intensifies, both teams will be expected to produce some exciting moments as they aim for the top spot.

Kick-off time is 4 pm at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground.

Meanwhile, third-placed CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh will be trying to benefit from any slip-up from the top two teams when they oppose Starworld Strikers from 7 pm today at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.

The Pro Bowl champs will be tipped to walk away with full points in the second match of today’s double-header at Arima.

Two hours earlier, the consistent Neal and Massy Caledonia AIA will meet the struggling Defence Force.

Last year’s Pro League winners W Connection have a 6 pm appointment with United Petrotrin at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva while, simultaneously, Superstar Rangers will be facing the bottom-placed Tobago United at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.
