Disaster preparedness at schools

We are also aware that the poor in our country have neither television, radio or the funds to buy newspapers, so they can be informed of the action to take or where to find “shelters” close to where they live.

To ensure that the poor is acquainted with what is needed to be done, the schoolchildren must be “bombarded” with the relevant information. I am sure that the schools have been involved.

If yes, very good; but if the teachers and schoolchildren are not taught on a daily basis; if we experience real bad weather, we will surely have many deaths.

The Ministry of Education can also print easy to read leaflets and distribute to schools so that every child gets one and this should be done now.
