No leads in tourist robberies

Police sources told Newsday no arrests were made nor were any of the stolen items recovered.

Sources also complained about a lack of police boats to assist them in carrying out their investigation into not only this robbery incident, but several similar crimes carried out by bandits on the high seas. The tourists comprising four German nationals, a Norwegian and a woman from Great Britain were held up by three armed bandits while they were relaxing aboard a vessel docked 300 feet off Peake marines.

The tourists were robbed of TT$600, EU$200, two laptop computers, digital cameras, a car deck and other items.

Carenage police are continuing investigations.
