La Brea All Stars continue fine run in South football

Chad Joseph opened the scoring in the 21st minute of last Sunday’s match, and Andre Alexis added his quota in the 55th while Kern Marshall rounded off the scoring in the 61st. Krishna Narine got the consolation goal in the 82nd minute.

Palo Seco were in irrepressible form slamming Penal All Stars 5-1 also on Sunday.

Ex-national striker Dexter Cyrus, Anderson Smart, Shannon Salazar, Kern Peters and Derron Alexis got one goal each for the winners.

Uprising Youths drubbed Plazaz FC 6-2 with Andrew Figaro scoring four goals, Ancil Wells and Brendon Bacchus got the others. Holly Lewis and Solomon Beaumont scored for the losers.

In the Leonson Lewis Division, Moruga FC upset San Fernando Giants 3-1, while Cub Sando scraped a 1-0 victory over Barrackpore United on Troy Rees’ goal.

F&E Diamond United kept Fire Services winless when Mark Ince scored twice to edge them 2-1. Nelhino Mierez got the goal for the firemen.

It was electricity beating oil when T&TEC stopped Petrotrin 3-1 with Daniel Garcia scoring a double and David Arbuckle the other for the winning team.
