Woodbrook development under review

One of the issues was an increased residential density in the area and the types of commercial activity, which would be compatible with the residential area.

Out of this consultation a Woodbrook Working Group comprising residents, business owners, the Port-of-Spain Corporation and the Town and Country Planning Division has been formed and is meeting to discuss the issues faced by the community. Other relevant stakeholders will be invited to participate in the process as their input becomes necessary.

The findings of this committee will then guide proposals for the area. These proposals will again be presented to the relevant stakeholders of which the Woodbrook community is one. No decision will be taken to change the street scape or density within Woodbrook without first completing this process and achieving consensus on how development in this area is to proceed. The Woodbrook Working Group will meet again on Tuesday August 22.
