Taxi driver robbed at home

A police report stated that Tyrone Garvin, 35, was at his John Jules Trace home in Fyzabad at 12.30 am, when he heard a banging on his door. Garvin told police that three men pushed open the door of his home and one of them pointed a firearm at him.

Police said the victim was forced to hand over cash, jewelry and his cell phone. The bandits then ran through the front door and escaped on foot. PC Bahadur is investigating.

Meanwhile, Gasparillo police have been searching for a thief who robbed a man of almost $10,000 in cash and valuables in a daring daylight robbery yesterday. Curtis Ramjit, of Morne Roche Quarry Road, Williamsville, told police that he secured his home at 2 pm on Monday, and left.

Ramjit said when he returned three hours later, he found louvres removed from a window. Police reports stated that Ramjit entered his house and noticed that his DVD player, a pair of sneakers and a quantity of cash were missing.
