Two wins for Black Label in Laventille

Their victories were against Celtics and Wild Fire.

Black Label’s first victory came against Celtics on Saturday, a close match in which Label prevailed 93-85.

Joseph Cox of Black Label top-scored with 24 points, while Kirt and Sheldon Christian contributed to their team’s victory with 19 and 15 points respectively. Kenneth Roberts chipped in with 10.

For the Celtics, Kareem Mohammed scored 27 while Orlando Mapp had 20.

In their second match, on Sunday, Black Label beat Wild Fire by a margin of 73-61. At the half, the score was 32-30 in favour of the winners.

For Black Label, Wilt Vincent top-scored with 29 while Jason Best got 18 for Wild Fire.

In last Thursday’s match, Celtics beat Crusaders 68-61. At the half, Celtics held the lead 36-29. Andy Best led his team with 23 while Allister Martin of Crusaders scored 24.

On Saturday, Pytons scored a 71-68 victory over Spring Squad. Kory Le Hood of Pytons scored 22 while team-mate John Thomas got 21. Spring Squad’s Adrian Nicholas top-scored with 23 and Akeil St John got 20.

Crusaders’ Sunday match against Republic Bank Arrows was a close affair as Crusaders managed a 79-73 victory with Mark Joseph and Allister Martin scoring 20 and 19 points respectively.

For the Arrows, Julien Quacey got 25.

On Saturday: Pytons 71 (Kory Le Hood 22, John Thomas 21) vs Spring Squad 68 (Adrian Nicholas 23, Akil St John 20); Black Label 93 (Jospeh Cox 24, Kirt Christian 19) vs Celtics 85 (Kareem Mohammed, Orlando Mapp 20).

On Sunday: Crusaders 79 (Mark Joseph 20, Allister Martin 19) vs Republic Bank Arrows 73 (Julien Quacey 25, Akil La Roach 17); Black Label 73 (Wilt Vincent 29, Kirt Christian 15) vs Wild Fire 61 (Jason Best 18, Adrian John 12, Kevin Clarke 12).
