‘Classic’ looks right for Sara’s Music

Maniram “Boboy” Maharaj’s gelding for which he paid a $4,000 penalty to get him into the 1200 metres race, out-gunned American-bred Stravinskys Secret and Fun Time in a 1000 metres gallop on a sloppy Santa Rosa Park track yesterday morning in a very good one minute 01.85 seconds.

The leading pair proved too much for the three-year-old Fun Time who was timed in one minute 03.15 seconds for the run.

Another handy gallop came from Northern Star who showed good form over the same trip to be clocked in one minute 04.68 seconds.

El Guerrouj had a handy run over the distance completed in one minute 07.52 seconds, while Peace Offering who is engaged in the feature Sagicor Independence Cup stopped the clock in one minute 08.63 seconds.

Unraced Luckianunoit had a handy spin in over 400 metres clocked in 27.03 seconds.

But despite the several horses seen out on the morning, trainers put them on “easy street.”
