San Juan house gutted by fire

Pinky Ramsaran, the owner of T Boys Bar and JR’s Auto Supplies at the corner of 12th Street and Jogie Road, San Juan, lost her home and business in the fire. She was unable to save anything from the burning house.

Ramsaran said yesterday she blames the fire services for failing to save her home. She said that at about 8 pm she saw smoke coming from JR’s Auto Supplies located downstairs her home.

She wasted no time in contacting the San Juan Fire Station. When officers arrived on the scene, they were unable to contain the blaze which spread rapidly. Damage is estimated at over one million dollars.
