Man rapes 10-year-old girl

According to a police report, at about 8 pm the girl was at her house when she was called out by a neighbour — a 25-year-old man.

The report stated that the man told the girl that he had her toy and that she should come over to his house for it. When the girl went over to the man’s house, she was lured into a room, where the man placed his hands over the girl’s mouth, to prevent her from alerting anyone, police said.

The girl, was then taken to a house, which belonged to one of the man’s friends, police said.

At the house, the report stated, the man ripped off the girl’s clothes and proceeded to rape her. The girl, police said, subsequently made her way back to her house where she reported the incident to her parents.

She was taken to the police station where the matter was reported. The girl was then taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where she was medically examined and treated.

Police officers have since launched a manhunt for the suspect.
