MACO takes global awards

MACO Caribbean Living and MACO Destinations have distinguished themselves at the 2006 Toronto Gallery of Superb Printing competition. Caribbean Living Vol seven, Issue three won a Gold Award, and Destinations Vol one, Issue three won a Silver Award.

The publications are products of the Trinidad and Tobago-based Toute Bagai Publishing reputed to be the first publishing house in the Caribbean to produce internationally-distributed magazines showcasing Caribbean Living. The publications, which have during the past few years entered the more prestigious Canadian and American print competitions, feature Caribbean content from an international perspective, giving insight to business, leisure and travel in the region. Managing Director of Toute Bagai Publishing Neysha Soodeen was elated with the two latest awards which she said was testimony to the hard, dedicated and consistently high standard of work produced at all levels of the company.

“We are determined to maintain this trend in our overall quest to promote the Caribbean’s unique heritage and elevating the art of publishing to unprecedented levels,” Soodeen said.

Toute Bagai Publishing along with Colour Innovations – their Toronto based printers – were recognised at the 2004 Premier Print Awards received the Gold and Silver awards at the 31st Annual International Gallery of Superb Printing Awards in 2005 for MACO Destinations.
