‘A’ Team wins in Bamboo cricket

Peake’s posted a tally of 53 for the loss of nine wickets, thanks to Malcolm Forbes knock of 19 and Doon Ramath’s 12.

And in response it took the “A” Team just 5.2 out to secure the victory- reaching 56 for the loss of just one wicket.

Rishaad Mohammed remained unbeaten on 17 and he saw teammate Shan Ramkissoon lash 16 in the winning total.

In another game Bamboo United triumphed over El Socorro United by a similar nine wickets, thanks to Anthony Jangoo who made 16 in his team tally of 49 for the loss of one wicket.

Keron Daniel also finished unbeaten on 14 for the Bamboo United outfit while Sashtri Mootoo was also not out on 12.

But it was their bowlers who did all the hard work in the early stages of the game, as they restricted their opponents to 46 in 10.3 overs. Clive Daniel three wickets for as many runs while Shazad Ali claimed three for 10 runs.

Sudesh Ramlogan also got a hat-trick of wickets on the day- finishing with three wickets for 14 runs for Bamboo United.
