Northern put Police under arrest
Trinidad Northern defeated Police Sports Club 38-12 on Sunday to launch the Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union’s 2003 season at St Ann’s. Northerners came on strong in the first half slamming Police with four tries which left the score at 24-0. But Police came into their own in the second half with two tries and a lone conversion from Allan Fraser. Superior to their opponents, the Northerners added a conversion of their own and two late tries to complete the victory. Dexter Snaggs with three tries and one each from James Walkins and Micky Browner secured the win for Northern. Caribs won by default in the other Championship Division fixture as Defence Force were unable to field a team.
