Pro League awards at Crowne Plaza

The function will take place from 6 pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain.

The Jabloteh pair of Jason Marcano and Peter Byers, new addition Marvin Oliver (who played for Caledonia last year) and Joe Public’s Kerry Baptiste are in line for the MVP award, which also includes a Toyota Yaris vehicle.

The Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Best Striker and Best Coach for the 2007 season will also be announced.

Meanwhile, with the Pro League season kicking off on Saturday, action will also centre this evening on the teams who will be featuring this year.

The 10 participating teams are champs Jabloteh, Joe Public, W Connection, Defence Force, Caledonia AIA, St Ann’s Rangers (formerly Superstar Rangers), United Petrotrin, Tobago United, North East Stars and newcomers Ma Pau SC, who replaces Police from last year’s line-up.
