Ephraim's looking for the right 'covergirl'

International make-up artist Ephraim Hunte will have the tough task of selecting a covergirl from a group of 15 “images” for the new and soon to be released make-up book Caribbean Vogue Exotic Makeovers, Beauty Edition One. Hunte, head of Ephraim Hunte Productions Ltd, conducted a model search for exotic Caribbean faces whose images will be selected for the edition. The contest attracted over 100 applicants from Grenada, St Vincent, Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean Vogue Exotic Makeovers is a unique make-up tool designed to provide insightful how-to guides with trade secrets and tips, along with the many extraordinary makeovers which Hunte has been known to create internationally, for more than 20 years. The 15 finalists who were selected from the 4x6 photographs submitted with their registration are Charisse Contant, Kabita Persad, Karen Hallim, Kelly Ann Gomez, Marisa Singh, Marsha Allen, Nadia Corbin, Nichasha Washington, Racharda Toussaint, Renata Seecharan, Reshma Soodeen, Sarah Williams, Salena Ali, Shizelle Small and Turkessa Warwick.

The selected 15 finalists will each receive a consolation prize of one 11x14 enlargement image, photographed and signed by Ephraim Hunte along with one of their beauty photographs taken at the finalist interim photo session, included in Caribbean Vogue Exotic Makeovers, Beauty Edition One and a CV Baby T-shirt. The grand prize winner will receive TT$5,000, one signed 11x14 photograph from her photo session, a Baby T-shirt, an autographed copy of Caribbean Vogue Exotic Makeovers, Beauty Edition, Volume One and a cosmetic hamper from a major cosmetic company in Trinidad. The leading lady will also represent EHP/Caribbean Vogue as a spokesperson for campaigns, functions, both regionally and internationally. The announcement of the winner will be made by November 30. During the interim, a series of photo sessions will be scheduled for the book photography sessions. The book which promises to dazzle local, regional and international audiences, will debut in early 2004.
