D’Abadie man found dead in drain
A D’abadie man was found dead on Monday in a drain a few metres from his home by Arima police.
At around 6.30 am, Arima police responded to an anonymous call and went to Reid Lane Extension, D’abadie, 300 metres from the Priority Bus Route, where they found Deo Beharry, 53, lying face down with a gash to his head. The DMO was called in and the body was ordered removed to the Forensic Science Centre where an autopsy is to be performed today. While there were no signs of a struggle, except the gash on his head, which police believe is as a result of a fall, they have not ruled out foul play. The Galaxy Gardens, Reid Lane Extension resident was last seen on Sunday night drinking with friends on the same street.
Detective Shawn Conliffe is investigating.
