Christmas warning from MPATT

The Medical Profes-sionals Association of Trinidad and Tobago has sent a warning to citizens to be discrete in their activities during the Christmas Season. According to the association, customary over-indulgence in food and drink tends to result in patients with hypertension, diabetes and heart related disorders facing serious problems in the months following. “Driving habits which are presently undisciplined, deteriorate during this period and the consumption of alcohol may be an added factor. Designate a driver for alcohol and gasolene do not mix,” declared MPATT. With regard to fireworks and other explosive devices, MPATT said that these are dangerous and should be avoided. If used, the association said that it must be under strict parental supervision and in accordance with safety precautions.
