Panday and Ramesh on working holidays

It will be working holidays for two of the country’s political leaders this month. Basdeo Panday, political leader of the United National Congress (UNC), and Team Unity leader, Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj, who are both spending Christmas in London this year, will be addressing separate conferences.

Panday is expected to address a conference of Parliamentarians of Indian Origin (PIO) which takes place from January 9 to 11, 2004 in New Delhi, India. He will leave London for India later this week. Additionally, Maharaj will be holding conferences with British Legal experts on a proposed cane farmers High Court lawsuit against the Government. Maharaj intends to file a judicial review application against the proposed purchase of sugarcane based on quality.
