Family of 6 held with gun, ammo

FOLLOWING a shoot-out on Christmas Eve at Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie police executed a warrant early yesterday morning at Building 14 and arrested a family of six for possession of arms and ammunition. According to reports, members of the Arouca and Maloney CIDs conducted an early morning search of an apartment in the building where they found a Pucara .38 revolver, eight rounds of 9 mm and three rounds of .38 special ammunition.

Herman Holder, 60, Herman Holder (jr), 19, Susan Greaves Berthram, 43, Gary Greaves, 40, Davis Berthram, 34 and Andy Greaves, 22, were all arrested and charged with possession of arms and ammunition. No magistrate was present at the Arima Magistrates’ Court when the six appeared, so the matters were postponed to tomorrow. Ag Sgt Slyvester of the Arouca police laid the charges.
