Denise Belfon in Chutney Soca finals

DENISE Belfon is among 15 finalists selected for the 2004 National Lotteries Classic Chutney Soca Monarch, to be held at Skinner Park, San Fernando on Saturday, February 7. The other finalists are Adesh Samaroo, Heeralal Rampartap, Rooplal Girdharrie, Roy Rampersad, Rasika Dindial, Mohip Poonwassie, Carlene Wells, Nigel Salickram, Francisa Allard, Phoolmatee Ramjattan, Clint Thomas, Edward Ramdass, Sarika Mahabir and Lalman Maharaj. Defending monarch is Heeralal Rampartap, who was obligated to perform at the semi final which was held last Saturday at the Rienzi Complex, Couva, because of a new contest rule. Veterans in the contest Rikki Jai and Drupatee, who are out of the country, have automatically been disqualified because of this rule.
