Polish man found hanging from tree

A POLISH national was found hanging from a mango tree at Crown Trace, Enterprise, around 3.45 pm on Saturday. Reports revealed that a passerby saw the body of Henrik Ierski, 80, hanging from a tree. Officers from the Chaguanas Police Station were alerted and visited the scene along with District Medical Officer, Dr Ray Chowdary. Ierski and his wife Edith arrived in the country on December 12 and were supposed to leave the country later this month. A party of officers led by Supt Fredericks, ASP Millette, Ag Sgt Ajith Persad, Cpls Cudjoe and Salick visited the scene and carried out enquiries. The body was ordered removed to the Forensic Science Centre where an autopsy is expected to be carried out today.
