Where to get your taxis

From 3 am this morning to midnight tomorrow, taxis and maxi stands have been relocated. Long Circular/Wrightson Road taxis formerly assigned to Chacon Street between Independence Square South and South Quay will be operating from the northern side of Dock Road between Wrightson Road and the entrance of Port Authority. Diego Martin/Petit Valley Taxi stands assigned to taxi stands between Broadway and Abercromby Street will operate from the southern side of Dock Road between Wrightson Road and the entrance to Port Authority.

The Route 1 maxis (yellow band) will remain at the South Quay maxi stand entering on South Quay from Beetham Highway and exiting on South Quay on the southern side — 40 metres east of the Beetham Highway. Marine Square/Ice House taxi stands. Taxis assigned to taxi stands on the southern side of Independence Square North between Abercromby Street and St Vincent Street and on the eastern and western side of Ciprani Circle between Independence Square north and south (on call taxis) will be operating from Ajax Street facing south.

San Fernando Taxi stands will operate on the northern carriage of the Beetham Highway, west of Broadway facing east, and Chaguanas from the northern carriageway of the Beetham Highway, east of Broadway facing east. Morvant/Trou Macaque stands will operate on the northern side of the Eastern Main Road, east of the flyover. Tunapuna/Arima/Sangre Grande Stands will operate from the southern side of Abattoir Road, east of Viera Street. San Juan/Round-the-Road taxi stands will operate from the northern side of Abattoir Road, east of Viera Street.
