3 held at Maracas

TWO men and one woman were held during a police exercise yesterday on the Maracas Lookout. According to information between 9 am and 1 pm, a team of officers headed by ASP Phillip, and including Inspector Coa and Sgt Lewis were on exercise when they had cause to stop several vehicles and search. In two of the vehicles searched, they found a quantity of marijuana in two of the male occupants pockets, while in another the police found more marijuana in the purse of a woman. The two men, ages 32 and 27, from the Caura area and the woman, 23, of Ralph Trace, Bagatelle, Diego Martin, were arrested and charged. They are to appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate today.
