Schoolgirl abducted and raped

A 15-year-old schoolgirl was abducted and taken to a house where she was raped by two men. The girl reported to the police that she left her Richplain, Diego Martin home on Thursday to attend classes in Tunapuna. On reaching Chow Quan Avenue in Diego Martin, the taxi-driver placed a shocking device next to the schoolgirl, threatening to shock her if she raised an alarm. The driver went to a house and ordered the girl to the front door. He knocked on the door and a man answered.

Both men then took turns raping the schoolgirl. They then ordered her back into the car, blindfolded her and then ordered her out of the vehicle. She managed to untie herself and realised that she was at Long Circular Mall. The frightened schoolgirl alerted a security guard and then lodged a report at the St James Police Station. The victim was examined by a District Medical Officer and later gave a statement to investigators. Police said arrests are imminent.
