Dhanraj Singh’s son in serious condition after car crash
THE SON of former UNC local government minister Dhanraj Singh is warded at hospital after being involved in a four-car smash-up on Friday evening. Adesh Singh, 18, was said to be in serious condition with injuries to his shoulder and is warded at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH). A passenger in Singh’s car, Summer Harrilal, 15, is also warded at hospital with broken limbs. Another driver in the accident was said to have a broken leg.
Police reports on the crash indicate that around 6 pm, Singh, of Dyers Road, Williamsville, was on the north-bound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway near the NHA development in Tarouba, when he lost control of the black Toyota he was driving and flew across onto the south-bound lane, and caused three other vehicles to crash. The other vehicles were a blue Nissan pick-up driven by Marcus Khanhai, 30, of San Fernando; a green BMW driven by Indira Dindial, 36, of Cocoyea; and a Toyota Crown driven by Vishan Ramrattan, 22, of Tumpuna Road. Emergency Health Services rushed to the scene and Singh, Harrilal, and Khanhai were rushed to SFGH. Khanhai was treated for a broken leg and discharged. PC Ramlogan of the Mon Repos Police Station is continuing enquiries.
