TSTT worker killed in Tobago crash
A TSTT worker became Tobago’s fourth road fatality for the year when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ravine on the Claude Noel Highway. The accident which claimed the life of Nigel Cooke, of Bethel Village, occurred around 10 pm Tuesday in the vicinity of the Signal Hill traffic light. Cooke was travelling east along the highway when he lost control of his Bluebird and crashed into a ravine on the right side of the road.
He was taken from the wreckage by the Emergency Health Services (EHS) personnel to the Scarborough Regional Hospital where surgeons fought to save his life. He succumbed to his injuries around 5 am yesterday. Cooke was the lone occupant in the vehicle. He was to be married in less than three weeks.
