Teen missing since Friday
A BEETHAM GARDENS woman is appealing for help from the public to find her daughter La Tisha Darmanie, 13, who has been missing since Friday. La Tisha, a student of Moulton Hall Primary School in Port-of-Spain, lives with her grandmother, Phyllis Darmanie, at 23 Nelson Street, Port-of-Spain. She was last seen around noon on Friday when she went to a laundromat located on the street where she lives. Darmanie said La Tisha’s grandmother became concerned when the teen did not return home and sent the girl’s younger sister, La Toya, and cousin, Jovaugh, to look for her. They found La Tisha at the laundromat but said she walked out of the establishment soon after they arrived and has not been seen since.
Darmanie said a vendor from the area claimed to have seen La Tisha on Charlotte Street. La Tisha was wearing an orange T-shirt with a print emblazoned at the front, strip jeans and boots. The family made a report to the Besson Street Police Station the day La Tisha disappeared and has been making daily checks with the lawmen, hoping for news on the young girl’s whereabouts. Anyone with information can contact Phyllis Darmanie at 624-8704, Tricia Darmanie at 755-7179, or Jason at 743-2290.
