Burglars ‘fish’ clothes from Sando store

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into a burglary at a San Fernando clothing store in which the burglars smashed a $5,000 glass door and made off with over $1,000 in items. According to police reports, officers who were on mobile patrol along High Street around 11.30 pm on Monday, spotted the front glass door to S & K Exclusive clothes store smashed. On checking further, they discovered empty racks that held designer clothing worth over $1,000. Police believe the burglar/s used a long rod to “fish” out clothing which was hanging on the racks. The manager of the store was alerted since the owners were out of the country. Ladies underwear, tops and other items were found missing. PC Ramdass of San Fernando CID is continuing investigations, but no arrests had been made up to yesterday.
