7 held as cops seize gun, ammo, drugs

Seven persons were arrested as cops seized a 9 mm pistol with 20 rounds of ammunition, two kilos of marijuana and a quantity of cocaine during an exercise by officers of the Inter Agency Task Force. Led by acting Snr Supt Errol Denoon and acting Insp Sahadeo Singh, the exercise started around 2 am and ended at 7 am. Several apartments at Nelson and Duncan Streets in Port-of-Spain were searched. The exercise formed part of the anti-crime initiative launched by Police Commissioner Trevor Paul.
