Mitchell replaces Martin at TSTT

CHIEF executive officer of TSTT, Sam Martin, has retired and TSTT chairman, Christian Mouttet, in making the announcement, said the interim CEO is Bernard Mitchell. Martin was appointed to the position in 1994, having held senior positions in a number of private and public sector enterprises, including the Ministry of Finance, CARIFTA Secretariat, the Iron and Steel Company of Trinidad and Tobago and Algico. Mouttet said “Sam’s contribution to the telecommunications industry is a tribute to his entrepreneurial spirit and drive.” He noted that Martin’s career spanned 42 years and had set the cornerstone for many success stories.


He said TSTT gratefully acknowledged Martin’s many contributions to the growth and development of the company. Incoming CEO Mitchell has more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Mitchell currently holds the position of executive vice president, service delivery and chief operating officer of TSTT. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, a Masters of Science degree in Electronics and Instrumentation, and an MBA. Mouttet said TSTT’s executive team was well equipped to implement the company’s strategic plan, which “we believe will realise benefits for all stakeholders.”
