PM back today?

BWIA flies, twice weekly, direct from Havana, Cuba, to Piarco and speculation is that Prime Minister Patrick Manning will be returning to Trinidad today at 5.05 am. Much will depend on how Manning is feeling after the trip to fit a pacemaker to his heart, but it is expected he will make the effort to attend today’s funeral of his former political colleague, the late Gordon Draper. Up to press time information was hard to come by from official sources who said they were themselves in the dark about Manning’s flight plans.
