Piranhas congratulate Bovell

Congratulations were in place yesterday as well wishers of George Bovell III praised his achievement on becoming the first English-speaking Car-ibbean swimmer to grab a medal in an Olympic event. Bovell placed third in the men’s 200 metres individual medley final, and will proudly bring home a bronze medal. Presi-dent of the Piranha Aquatics Swim Club, Al Roberts, described Bovell as the brightest star in the country and the region on the whole. He said Bovell would continue to be a beacon and inspiration to all our swimmers in TT. He said the Piranhas would always hail him as “our aquatic ambassador extraordinaire, as his excellence reflects our club’s motto, ‘Piranhas in Pursuit of Excel-lence’.”
