Crop-duster crash lands in canefield

A PILOT escaped injury after a crop-duster aircraft crashed in a canefield near Barrackpore Thursday evening. The incident occurred around 6 pm while pilot Charles Hughes, 53, was spraying canefields in the vicinity of Cottage Road in Borde Narve Village, when he experienced mechanical difficulties and had to crash land the aircraft. One of the aircraft’s wing broke off on impact, but Hughes escaped without injury.
