Bandits take $920 from gas station

BANDITS stormed a gas station early yesterday morning and escaped with $920. Police reports said at around 4 am Cecil Hosein, 22, a pump attendant and Shazard Singh, 29, a security guard attached to Securicor, were on duty at the NP Quik Shoppe in Mon Repos, San Fernando when two men accosted them. The men, who were armed with a Chinese chopper and a cutlass, announced a hold up and proceeded to rob the guard of $20 and the pump attendant of $900, which represented the day’s sales. The bandits escaped on foot. PCs Balroop and Khan of the Mon Repos Police Station visited the scene and are continuing investigations.
