Tobago primary schools get 24-hour security
THE Tobago House of Assembly (THA) has agreed to pay relatives of murdered schoolteacher Evelyn James compensation, and to provide 24-hour security at all primary schools on the island. This was agreed to by officials of the THA and the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association (TTUTA), after a meeting on Wednesday at the THA offices in Tobago. TTUTA organised the meeting with the THA to discuss the matters, as well as issues relating to the curriculum, support staff for primary schools and the payment of teachers’ new compensation packages.
