Find killers who beheaded my son

An Enterprise mother of five is calling on the police to arrest and bring to justice the person or persons who beheaded her son, chopped off his arms, shot him once in the chest and then tried to burn his corpse. Crescentia John, of Jack Street Enterprise, said her son, Laucancious John, did not deserve such a cruel, brutal and inhumane death. She said that on Friday, her 27-year-old son left home around 8 pm, saying that he was going out. When he failed to return, a search was carried out and on Sunday around 9 am, a headless, armless corpse was found at Sumaria Trace, Charlieville. Crescentia said she refused to believe the body was that of her son, but clothing, a key and a shoe found by police on Sunday were identified as belonging to her son.

The angry woman said her son’s girlfriend is pregnant, and he was looking forward to the birth of his child. She said she was unsure why her son was killed in such a manner, and believes his killing was one of revenge. She said as far as she knew, her son had no enemies. She was consoled by a neighbour at the house of mourning yesterday, and John’s death caused shock waves in the community where he lived. An autopsy will be carried out at the Forensic Science Centre today. Investigating officers described the brutal killing as a revenge murder. They believe the persons responsible for the act may have buried or burnt his head and missing limbs. The search for John’s head and limbs continued without success yesterday. Several suspects are expected to be quizzed by homicide officers probing the killing.
