TT has seven acting ministers

President George Maxwell Richards has made seven more acting ministerial appointments to cover the absence from the country of several Government ministers. The appointments were made on the advice of Prime Minister Patrick Manning, and done in accordance with the national Constitution section 79(2). Minister of Energy, Eric Williams, is acting as Minister of Foreign Affairs, effective September 19 in the absence of Knowlson Gift. Junior Minister of Finance, Conrad Enill, is acting Minister of Finance, in the absence of Manning, effective September 21. Minister of National Security, Martin Joseph, is acting as Minister of Education, for Hazel Manning, effective September 22.


Junior Minister of Finance, Christine Sahadeo, is acting Minister of Community Development in the absence of Joan Yuille-Williams with effect from September 22. Minister of Science, Colm Imbert, is acting as Minister of Health in the absence of John Rahael, with effect from September 24. Minister of Local Government, Rennie Dumas, is acting as Minister of Public Utilities for Pennelope Beckles, effective September 25. Attorney-General John Jeremie is acting as Minister of Legal Affairs in the absence of Danny Montano with effect from September 26. Meanwhile, Minister of Public Administration, Dr Lenny Saith, continues to act as Prime Minister in the absence of Patrick Manning.
