Spaniard held with four kilos of ‘coke’

A 37-YEAR-OLD national of Spain was arrested at Crown Point Airport on Thursday afternoon after a search by airport police led to the discovery of four kilos of cocaine worth over $1 million. The 37-year-old man was reportedly waiting to board a British Airlines  flight to Gatwick International Airport in England, when he was confronted by alert Organised Crime and Narcotics Unit (OCNU) officers. He was searched and the drugs were found and seized. The man will appear before a Scarborough magistrate on Monday. The Spaniard’s arrest is part of an aggressive anti-crime initiative organised by Police Commissioner Trevor Paul and supervised by Snr Supt Raymond Craig, who heads OCNU.
