Aranguez businessman drowns

A 23-year-old Aranguez businessman became this nation’s latest drowning casualty Friday night, while partying with friends. According to a police report Ryan Bajnath, co-owner of a car parts shop with his father in Aranguez, was liming with friends at Pier 1, Chaguaramas around 7.30 pm when he dived into the sea. When he did not resurface, the Coast Guard initiated a search, but his body was not recovered. Around 5 am yesterday Coast Guard officers went back to the scene where they found the body stuck under the pier. An autopsy has been carded for Monday at the Forensic Science Centre. Acting Insp Moonilal is continuing inquiries.
