Warrant officers nab 15 in Central

Officers of the Central Division  Court and Process, executed 21 warrants and arrested 15 persons during an exercise yesterday. Several homes at Enterprise, Longdenville, Felicity and Chaguanas were searched during the exercise which started at 2 am and ended at 6 am. Those arrested were held on warrants for failing to attend court, failing to pay fines, and failing to pay maintenance. One woman was among the 15 held. The exercise was led by Inspector Ashton Clarke and included Cpl Ramdass and PCs Pooran, Mackoonsingh, Singh, and WPC Gustav. Those arrested will appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate tomorrow. The exercise yesterday was intended to reduce the backlog of warrants in all police divisions.
