UNC hits BWIA over lost bags
The Opposition UNC has accused BWIA of having a “weak administration” incapable of dealing with current problems facing the airline’s passengers. In a statement yesterday the UNC noted, “Passengers using BWIA have complained about long delays and difficulty in retrieving baggage.” Added to this, said the UNC, was the silence of BWIA management and its lack of communication to passengers.
“This state of affairs points to incompetence and mismanagement by the present BWIA board headed by Mr Anthony Jacelon, the current treasurer of the ruling People’s National Movement (PNM).” The chaos at BWIA, said the UNC, was another example of the lack of leadership of the ruling PNM. The UNC called on Trade Minister Ken Valley to intervene and demand that the BWIA board bring relief to passengers.
