Probe to be launched into pilot’s death
AN INVESTIGATION will be launched into the death of BWIA pilot Ronald Hadden although autopsy results revealed that he died of a brain aneurysm. Hadden’s body was discovered on Thursday afternoon 60 metres down a precipice at Maracas Bay. His silver Nissan Primera remains lodged 500 metres further down. The autopsy showed that Hadden died of an aneurysm not related to the accident.
However, investigations revealed that the hand brakes on the vehicle were engaged when it plunged down the precipice. Hadden left his Holiday Park, Diego Martin home on Wednesday, after telling his wife Rosemary that he was going to Long Circular Mall. When he did not return home she tried to contact him on his cell phone but the call went unanswered. Knowing that Hadden loved to visit Maracas Bay on his day off, relatives contacted the Maracas Bay police. The vehicle was spotted from a National Helicopter Services aircraft during an aerial search.
