Dookeran, Panday in frank talks
UNC Political Leader Winston Dookeran and Chairman Basdeo Panday met for over three hours yesterday discussing "in a frank and candid way the issues facing the party and the challenges facing the country." Speaking after the meeting, Dookeran said the discussions were aimed at "finding constructive solutions." Asked whether there was a clearer path for him to achieve his "new politics," Dookeran replied: "We talked at length about that." Both men agreed to "deepen the discussions at the earliest possible opportunity."
