Granny held for arms and drugs
Police said they found 100 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition, a bag containing marijuana with a street value of $3,000 and eight grammes of cocaine when they raided the house around 6.30 am yesterday.
Police officers from the Point Fortin CID under the supervision of ASP Ramdath, Insp Ramsey and Cpl Straker said they found two boxes of nine millimetre ammunition, just over one kilogramme of marijuana and eight grammes of cocaine in a bag.
They said their inquiries revealed that the ammunition was brought in from Venezuela and was due to be delivered to a gang hideout in Central Trinidad.
The suspects are expected to appear before a Point Fortin Magistrate tomorrow.
