Oddissi dancer wins ‘Mastana’

The competition took place at the Atlantic Plaza Point Lisas on Thursday evening.

Sneha, a student of the Lakshmi Girls High School, won the AV Drilling and Workover’s first prize of $400. Kathy Ann Hazarie took the second prize which was sponsored by Kaleidoscope Paints. Akash Kissoon won third prize and singer Kamlesh Meerai placed fourth. Singers Adesh Sookdeo and Karishma Kheerai won the ‘People’s Choice’ and they will participate in the semi-final programme.

The following contestants have been selected to appear in the third preliminary: Kamla Ramharrack, Savita Singh, Renuka and Nirmala Mahabir, Ravi Jagroop, Ashmanny Ramlochan and Shaheed Ali, E&I Tassa Group, Davanand Sookram, Dhanpat Ankatessu, Hema Maharaj and Rianne Sinanan.

This programme will be taped at the Gulf City Shopping Complex, La Romaine on Thursday from 5.30 pm and will be aired on Channel 4 at 1.30 pm on Saturday.

The next audition will be held on Sunday at the Cedros Composite School, Bonasse Village, Cedros. Registration starts at 10 am.
