UNC on the road again

The UNC bandwagon will be in Chaguanas east at 6.10 pm on Thursday for a public meeting and will then hold another meeting in the neighbouring constituency of Chaguanas west on April 24.

Opposition Leader Basdeo Panday is expected to deliver the keynote address at both of these meetings. The party launched this series of meetings as part of its preparations for local and general elections in Trinidad and Tobago.

The former are constitutionally due this year while the latter are constitutionally due in 2007.

Prime Minister Patrick Manning has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of early general elections in TT.
